This year is going to be a doozy. I can't say that I agree with all the nominations, or the fact that Dreamgirls got snubbed for Best Picture. Overall, I'm bursting with excitement and wondering how to pronounce some of the foreign names. And the screenwriter I saw at Sundance is nominated! It gives me chivers to think that just two days ago, I was cowering behind a bookshelf, too chicken to ask for a picture with him, and now he's nominated.
Just thinking about predicting the winners took me back to last year and my famous first attempt at making an Oscar cake for our first Oscar party. Seeing the pictures still pricks me with pride.

ReplyDeleteI was watching this morning while elipsing my way to smaller thighs- Personally, I was disappointed with the nominees- I haven't seen any of the movies (but that's pretty standard), but to an even greater degree, I hadn't heard of over half of them. Did you like how Selma Hayek nearly swallowed her gum when they announced Penelope Cruz?

ReplyDeleteactually salma hayek and penelope cruz are really good friends- don't ask me how I know that- ok I read People magazine- sheesh! Also Keira I have the most annoying facial expresions Knightly and Winona Ryder are NOT the same person! Even though Winona is a shop lifter and obviously has issues- i like her infinitly better than Keira I am a horrible actress and I ruined Pride and Prejudice Knightly.
